The University of Bath’s School of Management Project was a visionary venture spanning 5,215m2 across 6 floors. Valued at £950,000, this endeavour enlisted the expertise of Showcase PSR to redefine the landscape of education at the university through inspired design and consultancy.
Scope
In a pre-tender competition, the University of Bath sought partners to enhance their collaboration with Hopkins Architects. The project team embraced the challenge, later collaborating with AWW architects, offering comprehensive FF&E support and expertly crafted designs, specifications, and budgets to align with the university’s aspirations.
Services
Showcase PSR executed a variety of services, including consultancy, space design, finishes selection & interior design, budget preparation, furniture specification, delivery, project management, and installation. Every corner of the School of Management received due attention, from the busy atrium café to the serene study spaces. Appropriate furnishings were chosen for the collaboration, meeting, teaching, and even outside areas. Our furniture selections were sourced from esteemed manufacturers like Narbutas, Naughtone, Orangebox, Air Seating, Connection, and Boss Design, infusing each space with sophistication and functionality.
Challenges Faced
Despite delays from the building contractor, our phased installation strategy ensured progress, empowering university staff to transition effortlessly to their new domain. Showcase PSR ensured close collaboration with the university and contractor staff, allowing us to identify risks and overcome such challenges.
