Showcase Interiors was appointed to work on this project alongside UCL Project Managers, appointed architects Penoyre & Prasad and UCL stakeholders as the FF&E Consultant, providing furniture selection, procurement and supply across 2 floors.

Scope

Showcase Interiors was awarded the contract to create collaborative working environments throughout the space. The furniture was an integral part of the building as it was going to define the way in which the users worked. Bespoke worker tables, a multitude of different types & styles of seating, various huddle spaces, show and tell areas, soft seating and booths meant a broad scope of product. A key factor was also the movable AV  and whiteboard solution which was also going to be a multifunctional piece of furniture. Modular and agile furniture pieces were key as it was clear the space was always going to be challenged by the users to maximise teaching, learning and collaboration.

Services provided

Showcase assisted with furniture selection, bespoke product management, finishes, procurement and supply, space planning and furniture installation.

Value added

Showcase Interiors liaised with stakeholders and architects to find products that met UCL brief, that met the architects design concept and UCL’s budgets, providing showroom visits, conducting multiple on site furniture workshops using product samples, finishes and boards to ensure the users were happy with products. Showcase design team created a finishes document & space plans so that online consultations with the team were easy & the clients could visualise the product.
