Project Overview

Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group is an NHS organisation that plans and buys healthcare services to meet the needs of 1.8million people living in Kent and Medway. The CCG was formed in April 2020 by bringing together eight smaller CCGs. Creating one CCG was a vital step towards Kent and Medway becoming an integrated care system, with health and care organisations working together much more closely than in the past

Further to completing various other projects in 2020 for Kent and Medway CCG, in partnership with The Senator Group through a national framework, Gail House is the final location to be refurbished offering a modern and functional environment to both staff and visitors.

Liaising with the CCG’s Governance team the brief required solutions for socially distanced and collaborative workspace for approximately seventy staff, inclusive of workstations both set height and height adjustable, task seating inclusive of Orthopaedic option, monitor arms, power, cellular and team meeting space incorporating media connectivity, a flexible meeting space in the open office offering whiteboard, acoustic and biophilic capabilities and a modular meeting pod (office with an office), high touch down bench for transient  personnel, breakout areas for staff wellbeing, a reception and café/bistro area. On receipt of the full brief the design teams were able to provide visuals representing the CCG branding alongside new creative solutions. As part of the process our account manager had numerous meetings to develop a suitable scheme and furniture/finishes schedule across the ranges including Allermuir, Torasen and Senator whilst maintaining budgetary parameters.

PSR’s inhouse installation team co-ordinated the delivery, working alongside other trades onsite, with limited access, delivery and lift space with some items manually transferred over four flights of stairs. The result is a welcoming light airy office space offering multi functional capabilities for both staff and visitors.
