Arden University’s new Newcastle campus represents a significant investment in the future of flexible higher education. Situated within the Newcastle Helix innovation district and surrounded by a thriving community of businesses, researchers, and innovators, the campus has been designed to provide students with a modern, technology-enabled environment that supports collaboration, independent study, and face-to-face learning.

Building on a long-standing relationship developed through multiple successful projects across the University’s estate, Showcase PSR was appointed in November 2025 to deliver the furniture package for the new facility, helping to create a welcoming and adaptable space that reflects Arden University’s progressive approach to education.

 

Scope & Services

Working in partnership with Arden University, Showcase PSR supported the project from design development through to installation, helping transform the University’s vision into a fully realised learning environment. Our team delivered space planning, 2D layouts, 3D visualisations, furniture specification, finishes consultation, project management, and installation across a wide range of spaces, including classrooms, IT labs, breakout areas, reception spaces, staff workspaces, and student support facilities.

A strong emphasis was placed on flexibility, technology integration, and student wellbeing. Bespoke classroom tables with integrated power were introduced to support modern learning, while tailored banquette seating, multifunctional planter units, and carefully selected finishes helped create welcoming spaces for collaboration, focused study, and informal interaction. Delivered through a phased programme, the project required close coordination with the wider construction team to ensure a smooth and successful outcome.

 

Success Points

Completed in March 2026, the project delivered a flexible, future-focused campus environment that supports the way Arden University students learn today. Thoughtful furniture specification, integrated technology, and carefully planned spaces have created a campus that balances collaboration, independent learning, and wellbeing, while remaining adaptable for future needs. The success of the project has strengthened Showcase PSR’s relationship with the long-standing client.
